On November 30th, 2024, we were unexpectedly informed by Britannia Hotels, the owners of the Pontins Prestatyn Sands holiday camp, that the site was closing immediately. Consequently, our planned Tidyland Weekender event, despite being contracted and fully paid for, could no longer proceed at this venue. Regrettably, this notification came without prior warning or apology, despite our 22-year partnership with the company.
Simultaneously, we exhaustively explored every other holiday camp option in the UK. Our goal was to relocate the Tidyland event without changing the original dates, mindful of the arrangements many of our fans had already made. Unfortunately, despite identifying two exciting new venues that promise to elevate the Tidy Weekender experience, we were unable to secure these dates.
Therefore, with regret, we must announce the postponement of the Tidyland Weekender event in 2024, with us looking to a rescheduled date in 2025. We are currently finalising the details with our new partners and will share the confirmed venue and date as soon as possible.
Regarding the next steps; We are currently looking at all options for the rescheduled event with regard to ticket transfers or refunds. We will provide all details of the plan moving forwards as soon as possible however we kindly ask for your patience given the circumstances.
For all refund enquiries please contact refunds@tidyland.co.uk. Anyone that retains their ticket money with us will be given first option on tickets for the new event once we are able to announce our plan.
This situation has significantly impacted Tidy, resulting in substantial financial losses due to the actions of Britannia Hotels. However, we remain committed to ensuring that the party will go on with new opportunities that leave us optimistic and excited about the future.
