We are looking for a creative individual to work with us in our Leeds office as a full time Junior Graphic Designer & Video Content Creator.
The Role
· Working in a fast paced Media company based around the music and fitness industry
· Liaising and working under the Creative Director, working to deadlines
· Managing projects from typesetting through to design and production
· Following briefs with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales
· Developing concepts, graphics and layouts for product illustrations, pack shots, sleeves and more
· Creating video content to support our releases on social media
· Determining size and arrangement of copy and illustrative material, as well as font style and size
· Preparing rough drafts of material based on an agreed brief
· Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements if required
Qualifications:
While entry is open to non-graduates, preference is given to those with relevant degrees. A degree in graphic design and or video content creation is advantageous, although other art and design subjects will be accepted.
You will need some work experience and a strong portfolio of work to show. We expect a good knowledge of design software, such as Quark Xpress, InDesign or Illustrator, plus photo-editing software such as PhotoShop.
Key skills for this role:
· Excellent IT skills, especially with design and photo-editing software
· Hardworking and willing to go that extra mile
· Knowledge of programs like Filmora are advantageous
· Exceptional creativity and innovation
· Excellent time management and organisational skills
· Accuracy and attention to detail
· An understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment
· Professional approach to time, costs and deadlines
