Untidy Tools Volume 2 (Untidy Trax)

Release day is always a good one when Untidy drop one in your inbox and it’s made much more exciting when it’s a triple tracker.

Volume 2 of the Untidy Tools series sees three fresh producers, Jodie, Rawkus and Gary Whatley provider three BANGERS!

Jodie provides us with a nice driving number that is tough on the outside and has a soft centre where at the foundations you can find some sounds of yesteryear The vocal sample used is simple, but highly effective and it just goes to show that you don’t need to overcomplicate a track to provide the best results.

Rawkus takes things up a notch with a bubbling bass driven battle weapon. Loving the nod to Neneh Cherry in this one, nicely placed. This will certainly make it’s stance within clubland and at much larger events across the globe. It’s great too see another release from him following his debut with Untidy on Bassix.

The EP is closed off very nicely by Gary Whatley who funks things up a little but still on that tough edge. It contains a nice little sax stab running throughout and it’s these sounds that make the Untidy releases unique. They are like modern day Cabbage Patch Kids… no two are the same.

This EP is pure gold and all three tracks are so good that you will struggle to pick a favourite from the three.

The label that keeps on giving contues to do just that.

Well done guys… you’ve pulled off a yet anoother blinder!
