Following Monday’s announcement by the British government on easing lockdown measures, Tidy announced that TW25 would be going ahead as planned and that it would now be known as The Ultimate Reunion.
It wouldn’t be right just to rename the event and leave it at that so Tidy have announced that to make this The Ultimate Reunion there will have to be some ultimate changes. The new roadmap for The Ultimate Weekender has been released.
The Freedom Party kicks things off on Thursday night. It’ an official Weekender ‘Warm Up party which is an exclusive FREE party to anyone that booked and paid for their ticket in full before December 1st 2019. The theme for the night is 70’s Disco Party where Flares, Afros, Platform shoes, Polyester and anything glittery ‘n’ glam goes.
On Friday Arena 1 becomes Tidy’s Big Birthday Mash Up and it’s all about the music we have all come to love performed by the DJs and artists we love on Tidy, Tidytwo and Untidy. Arena 2 sees some of Tidy’s favourite stars kicking off the Weekender in style with the Ultimate Reunion soundtrack. Tidy White takes over Arena 3 in the arcade with a UV party of music spun by your favourite Tidy artists so make sure your outfits are Daz bright!
On Saturday Untidy will join forces with Tidy in Arena 1 taking you on a musical journey of progression for the first time ever showcasing the fresh new sound of the label with the names we all know. Tough house, techno and that trademark Tidy sound will be delivered by DJs old and new. Arena 2 sees the 100% vinyl Tidy vs Nukleuz battle with the cream of the crop representing each label. This is a night of classics and tracks you haven’t heard in decades… one you don’t want to miss. Tidy White returns for another night in the arcades showering more Tidy love… you’d best pack an extra set of white clothing!
Sunday at the Weekender wouldn’t be the same without the grand finale and this one is no exception. Goodgreef join Tidy for the ultimate battle of the harder generation as ambassadors from each brand give you one hell of a finale to remember. The brutal sound of hard trance takes over Arena 2 as Resonate’s finest DJ’s deliver a tasty slice of euphoria.
An extremely excited Amadeus Mozart told me , “YES I’m very, very excited. Weekenders are normally very emotional when the whole hard house community get together anyway, meeting up with friends new and old, it’s a big part of the event.”
“However , this time it’s going to be even more special… We’ve been locked up for 18 months, no contact with friends, no clubbing, no loud music, no parties… then BOOM! We come out with the world’s biggest gathering of the harder generation, just 2 weeks after all the restrictions are lifted”
“I can’t begin to image how we will feel at those hallowed gates of Pontins. Tears, laughter and a lot of love will make this clubbing holiday even better than ever. Since news broke from Boris I haven’t slept… i=I’m like a big kid at Christmas.”
It isn’t only the arenas that are offering you a weekender soundtrack, the Queen Vic will offer a special session every night of the Weekender. Friday is the Tidy 25 Poll Winner’s party where all the entrants from the competition will be performing. Trance Anthems will feature on Saturday with some very special big names coming into the fold that will have your reaching for the sky.
Sunday in the Queen Vic will be very special indeed with an Untidy UX takeover, an all-day special featuring some of the artists who have remixed the classics delivering dee and dirty house, tech house and a dash of techno.
Tidy general manager Lee Haslam said, “One thing that we wanted to do when we started the Untidy revolution was to make it more prominent in what direction the brand is taking. I think it’s the first time in a very long time that we are in a unique position of having a label that is very in trend musically. It’d been the best part of twenty years since we’ve had that position and we have very big plans for the label moving forward.”
“To have the likes of Jacky & Sorley playing at the weekender for us is massive. Yes they are huge Tidy fans first of all, but it’s a it’s a big statement to have these types of acts play at the Weekender. This is one of the main reasons why we wanted to put Tidy in the main room on the Saturday because it’s a big statement of intent for the label.”
“Long term, we want to be doing standalone Untidy events and nurture the new talent we have coming through. We have access to that with the work I do with my management company Locus. Taking old tracks and bringing them back to live with a new sound is what we want to be doing.”
Since the PM’s announcement there has been a phenomenal demand for tickets. The weekender is on course to be a sell out. If you haven’t already bought a ticket and want to, click on the image below.
Will there be a pool party..? You will have to wait and see.
