We continue our sries of chats with the Untidy Birmingham line-up. Today it’s the turn of Zander Club…
How does it feel to be part of this first day time event that Tidy have every held?
It feels great! I can’t thank the Tidy team enough for the amount of support they give me. It’s gonna be great playing a daytime show as well as it’s been a long time since I’ve played one. I think the Untidy sound is perfect for a daytime piss up!
You have been involved within the house scene for a good few decades now, how do you feel Untidy is slotting into the global house jigsaw?
I think Untidy is a bit of a dark horse at the moment. The releases and things coming up work side by side with today’s house & tech house scene, it’s just a bit edgier and definitely more fun!
The set you played at Love Tidy Leeds was great, how did you feel about it?
I nearly took off like a Space X rocket. I certainly came crashing down like one the day after. I had had so much fun! The crowd, the DJs, even the club staff we’re all in such good spirits. It was even better than I could have imagined returning to the nightclubs like this. Also massive thanks to everyone who came up, said hi and enjoyed my set!. It’s available to listen back on my Soundcloud page.
Are we going to be hearing some forthcoming material from you at the event?
I’m always road testing new things so there will certainly be a couple of new bits for me to try out, aswell a a couple of bootlegs I’ve done for my own sets… I can’t wait!
Tickets are on sale now and the event is limited to 270 people for will be a truly intimte daytime affair.
