He’s back… not long after the Bassix compilation nd of course his own Fractal album Sam Townend conjures up another throbbing three tracker on Untidy Trax. It’s a wholesome affair, just like his frequent snacking and is guaranteed to have your mouth watering with every beat that drops.
First up is where did you get that picture, a bassy little beast with cut up vocal hook running amongst the nice and wet analogue synth sounds. Yes sir… this is a very twisted pounder indeed. I’m loving the bassline in this! Goodnight Sweetheart is a lighter, more housey cut but still retaining that tough edge that Untidy releases are well known for. It’s deep and driving and features some great percussion throughout.
Atomic Banger is just that… a dirty little banger with more acid than a Strawberry tab. It contains a rather nice rave style build up a third of the way in before the hypnotic groove kicks back in. Sam is creating some amazing music at the moment and each release gets stronger.
The Untidy sound of late is having a clear impact within dance music judging by the support it’s receiving from all corners of the scene. It has clearly made its mark within dance music and will continue to do so for some time.
The next Sam Townend Untidy release ‘Boogie Monster’ is already in the queue to hit the download and streaming sites, but until then, enjoy this one!
