The fourth release to surface in the Untidy UX series is a tough house version of the Trade Classic Welcome byt Committee, released the in the same week as the Nicholson and Paul King remixes on Tidy Trax.
Stepping up t the hallowed UX platform are Ali Wilson and Matt Smallwood, both established hard house DJs in their own right from back in the day and both are still going string today. Ali has had the honour of warming up fr Tiesto at his massive Brixton Academy gig and Mat is he label Manager and A&R at Toolroom Records.
Both have been friends for decades and have teamed up to release this classic that was supported by the likes of Tony De Vit, Andy Farley and BK to name a few on the nations harder floor, but this time round they have delivered a remix that will be warmly welcomed by the house community.
The Untidy UX releases have been highly consistent and this one is no exception. Taking a hard house and creating something completely different takes some kahunas but they have done it.
The track build with the mesmerising ‘Got Ya Baby’ vocals over some nice and crunchy percussion. In fact, they have done a good job of using the three main elements of the track the two vocal samples and that synth riff to good effect to create this monster that is a total banger. It builds nice and slowly to a climax before it unleashes mayhem on the dancefloor.
I can’t wait for these restrictions so we can finally hear the music played to the dancefloors they were made for!
